Welcome to Weedon FC

Weedon Football Club was established in 1968 as an adults football club playing in the old Saturday Northamptonshire Combination Football League.

During the 70's & 80's we tasted various success including winning the Ken Parker Cup in 1977, finishing Division One runners up on several occasions, then wining the Presidents Cup & Premier Sunday League in 1979. Our recent successes have been the Northants Combination Reserve Division Two Runners Up 2010 & Reserves Division Two Cup Winners, Northants Combination Division Two Champions 2014 & Northants Combination Reserve Division Two Champions 2014. In 2013 Weedon we set up a Veterans teams for the first time in our history,  and a year later they went on to win The Northamptonshire Sunday Combination Veterans Cup.

Our future vision

In 2014 Weedon diversified it's approach once again and set about establishing a grass roots youth academy for the local children to get involved in.

Although our continuing adult success has been the foundations of our club, a reinvigorated approach to football has seen the winds shift towards to a more community based club, focusing on the next generation of young footballers and therefor securing the long term future of our more senior team. We ran junior fun days, sourced suitable coaching staff and  joined the Northampton District Youth Alliance League. We started our first season with 3 junior teams; under 7s, under 8s & under 11s. Our 1st year has been a massive success with a huge amount of interest being shown from parents and players alike.

Recent Match reports

  • Adult first team match review
Wooton St George 9 - 1 Weedon FC
An injury hit squad was worsened when 3 players failed to show up, leaving the team with a bare 12 and playing the majority of the second half with 10 men due to injuries. In the second half Weedon were completely dominated by the opposition and poor defending cost them dearly.
  • Under 12's match review
    West Haddon 4 - 1 Weedon FC
Our under 12's faced a strong opposition in the cup and put on a valiant performance on the day. The team played some of the best football they have played this season in the first half and were unfortunate to go into half time 1-0 down. The second half started promisingly with a stunning free kick to the top left hand corner but our opponents struck back moments later. Defensive errors gifted the opponents a 2 goal cushion soon after and the lads simply couldn't claw their way back into it, eventually losing 4-1.
  • Under 9's Red match review
    Weedon FC Red
    No games to list
  • Under 9's Yellow match review
Weedon FC Yellow 3 - 2 Kingsthorpe Jets
Another winning display from the under 9's, with them dominating the first half but only scoring one goal but their play had deserved more. A very lack luster second half display saw them scored two goals but struggled to keep the ball and find players with their passes.
  • Under 8's match review
    FFA Red 0 - 6 Weedon FC
Our under 8's gave a real tour de force performance against a strong FFA side at the racecourse. Outstanding team football, and some smooth passing play meant our opposition struggled to get a look in as we cruised into half time 3-0 up. In the second half we continued where we left off, solid goalkeeping, inspiring link up play, perfect assists and some superb finishing led to another 3 goals to put the game out of reach for FFA. 10/10!!
  • Under 7's match review
    Weedon FC 0 - 6 Towcester Foxes
    Weedon FC 3 - 1 Delapre Dragons
Massive thank you to all the parents that were there today. You were the loudest and it's appreciated. A tough first game loss to Towcester Town but an amazingly competitive second game v's Delapre Dragons with the dons coming out 3-1 winners

Over 100 members and growing, We love our team.
